DevOps Engineer
Core Responsibilities:
- Capture and analyze use cases, requirements by gathering all the pieces of information delivering the right technology choice based on Millicom's framework.
- Collaborate to design and deploy pipelines following the architecture guidelines and principles defined in Millicom's framework.
- Manage rollout process CI/CD.
- Guide the teams to solve cases, issues, doubts, or concerns by proper escalation for resolution.
- Create integration and dependency mapping and governance writing specifications, scripts and standard document.
- Work with functional and technical teams to ensure effective delivery of software following Millicom's change management process.
- Evaluate, prototype, propose tools and artifacts it could improve Millicom's frameworks.
- Ensure releases to production are disruption free.

Key Interfaces:
- Works with internal peers to ensure alignment on integration project plans and ensure disruption free releases.
- Works with NOC, and other support areas to cover incidents or other escalations.
- Works with external suppliers to ensure disruption free releases and agreed support.

Qualifications:
- Computer Science, Software Engineering, Software Developer or similar.
- Kubernetes certified.
- System administrator experience Linux.
- Kubernetes and service mesh.
- gitOps/subversion methodology and technologies.
- Deep understanding of Cloud Native principles and landscape.
- Demonstrable experience of work with Cloud, IaaS.
- Strong knowledge of IP Network fundamentals.
- Agile methodologies courses desirable.
- 1+ year developer experience low-mid level desirable.
- Desirable microservice architecture patterns.

Experience:
- 3+ years of system administrator experience Linux.
- 2+ years working with containers over Kubernetes and service mesh.
- 2+ years operating Kubernetes clusters.
- 2+ years hands on gitOps/subversion methodology and technologies.
- Worked with SRE or DevOps teams in a mission critical environment.
- Worked with CICD, Infrastructure-as-Code management and governance.
- Experience with Scrum, Kanban, SAFe or other agile frameworks understanding fit for purpose.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Trello, Asana, Airtable, Notion etc.; JIRA/Confluence Administration skills are a plus.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment interact with employees worldwide.

Core Competencies:
- Develop dashboards for tracking, measuring and reporting metrics such as team value delivery, customer satisfaction, team happiness, effectiveness of agile adoption, and team maturity
- Worked with SRE or DevOps teams in a mission critical environment.
- Worked with CICD, Infrastructure-as-Code management and governance.
