Position summary

We are currently looking for a highly competent Global Procurement Manager based in Panama, who will manage the commercial and sourcing activity for Nuts ingredients used by Nestlé worldwide.

Reporting directly to the Global Category Leader, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the category strategy for the spend in scope on a global level, utilizing strategic sourcing processes, tools and policies, negotiating contracts to ensure supply as per Business needs.

A day in a life of a Global Procurement Manager - Nuts Ingredients

- Define and implement the category strategy, utilizing strategic sourcing processes, tools, and policies.
- Perform supplier market/category/supply risk analysis and develop Total Cost Ownership (TCO) models to identify improvement opportunities.
- Manage relationships with various stakeholders to integrate category plans and outcomes into local budgets and price planning.
- Negotiate contracts to secure the most advantageous commercial agreements with suppliers, in line with the strategy.
- Collaborate with Supplier Relationship Management to lead commercial relationships with strategic suppliers and ensure contract performance
- Ensure compliance to Nestlé's Corporate Business Principles, policies and standards.
- Engage in developing and implementation of Nestle Sustainability roadmap

What makes you successful

- Extensive experience in sourcing, supplier management, and strategic procurement, particularly in agricultural ingredient categories.
- Exposure to an international work environment and success in a global or regional procurement role.
- Proven track record in risk management, responsible sourcing, and managing supplier relationships.
- Experience in leading supplier development initiatives to enhance supplier competitiveness, achieve cost reductions, and foster innovation.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills - with the ability to influence and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders across a complex organization.
- Fluency in English is essential; additional language skills are advantageous.
